He said his visit was meaningfully shortened. Muralitharan revealed the details on Twitter on Thursday. Muralitharan tweeted that locals attacked his convoy, smashed car windows, and injured his personal staff. He also attached a video of the attack to his tweet. He alleged that it was the work of TMC gangsters.
If so, Governor Jagdeep Dhankar has sent a report to the Central Government on the security situation in West Bengal. Violence has been rampant in the state since the results of the Assembly elections were released.
