Union Cabinet Secretary Dr. Rajiv Gauba held a video conference with the Chief Secretaries of State Governments. Covid believes that measures such as containment, surveillance, and large-scale vaccination should be taken to control the rapid growth of cases.
On the occasion, Chief Secretary to Government Shri Somesh Kumar told the Union Cabinet Secretary that Corona was in full control of the state. He said the positive rate in the state was 0.43 percent with less than 200 cases being registered every day, which was very low. He said that by conducting rapid antigen tests at 1100 locations in the state, it was possible to control the number of cases and corona in the state and provide medicine kits as soon as anyone gets positive.
Speaking about the vaccination drive, he said that 75 percent of the health workers and front-line workers in the state have already been vaccinated and the third batch of vaccinations, which will start on the 1st of next month, is ready.
The meeting was attended by Medical Health Secretary Shri SAM Rizvi, Public Health Director Shri Srinivas Rao, Medical Education Director Shri Ramesh Reddy, and other officials.
