Union Minister Piyush Goyal phoned the CM: The Center has decided to increase the supply of oxygen, Remdesivir injections, and vaccines to the state of Telangana as part of corona control. Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday telephoned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to say this. The Union Minister told the CM that the number of 5,500 remedial injections currently being given to Telangana would be increased to 10,500 from Monday.
The state government is already demanding the Center to increase the supply of oxygen. The Center has decided to supply an additional 200 tonnes of oxygen to Telangana.
The Union Minister said the decision was taken to supply oxygen to Telangana from Bhilai in Chhattisgad, Angul in Orissa, and Durgapur in West Bengal. The Union Minister asked the CM KCR to coordinate the supply.
The Union Minister responded positively to the CM’s request to supply large quantities of vaccines to Telangana as well. The Union Minister asked the CM to give priority to the second dose. KCR has made it clear that the Telangana state government is giving priority to the second dose.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal, CM, told KCR that in the wake of the High Court ruling that corona medication should be provided to all, the situation would become an uphill burden for the state of Telangana, as part of which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directed him to immediately supply oxygen, remedies, and vaccines to Telangana for corona control.
