The state that reduced the corona death toll: The number of deaths was miscalculated.
The state health department has revised the number of the corona death toll in Bihar. Although 5500 people were initially reported dead on the 8th of this month, the next day, it was revealed that 9,429 people had died. That showed an additional 3,951 deaths. Despite the breakup given to 38 districts.
It is not known when these additional deaths were confirmed. In all, 8,000 people died in this second wave. This is almost 6 times more than in April 2,303 people died in Patna city alone. An additional 1,070 people were found dead after verification. The number of survivors is also confusing. The recovery rate is also confusing. The number was 98.70 percent on the previous day and then 97.65 percent.
The state health department is being blamed for all these miscalculations. This is a miscalculation of the number of deaths and the number of patients who have recovered, which is why our health department officials are so bad. While the government spends lakhs and pays salaries, such sluggishness in duty management is not going to work. They are skeptical that if this is the case in Bihar alone, then what might be the Centre’s calculations across the country, and how can be it trusted.
