Team India opener out with injury:

TeamIndia suffered a setback ahead of the five-Test series with England. With Team India opener Shubhman Gill suffering from an injury, it seems that there is a chance that the original series will be missed. However, the BCCI has not yet released any statement on the injury. The leg muscles seem to be suffering severely from sprains. Talk is heard that the operation needs to be done as the severity of the injury is high. Gill’s injury has been major so far, but doubt about ruling out of the England series.

If Gill misses the series, there are rumors that the BCCI is considering a replacement. It seems that Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul, and Abhimanyu Ishwaran are planning to bring Ocker into the ring. TeamIndia physio Nitin Patel seems to be overseeing Gill’s fitness. In an interview with a news agency on Shubhman Gill’s injury, a BCCI official said, “We have received information about Gill’s injury. However, he acknowledged that their numbers were not enough to defeat Gill’s Test series.

Shubhman Gill has played 8 Tests so far. He scored 414 runs at an average of 31.84. There are three half-centuries in this. The five-Test series will begin on August 4 at Trent Bridge. The ICC has announced that the second World Test Championship will begin with the Team India-England series. With Team India already losing in the WTC final there has been a lot of criticism. With this, the Indian Team is looking to give a proper answer to the criticism by making a strong impact in the Test series against England. But, with another setback in the form of Gill, the management is having a hard time figuring out how to play another opener.
