RTC employees’ movement again: Even after CM KCR said there is no place for unions.
The RTC employees unions are on the movement once again. The practice of demands and the solution of problems are all united. The 10 unions together formed the JAC. Union leaders officially announced the JAC on Monday. All the unions except Telangana Mazdoor Union (TMU) joined JAC.
The unions have been stagnant since CM KCR told them after the 2019 strike that there was no place for unions in the RTC. The unions were replaced by welfare committees but went undetected. 49 thousand employees are suffering from this. Salaries have not been received beyond the 15th and two PRCs and four DAs are pending. RTC used PF money along with CCS and it had to close. Harassment of officers increased. Employees are left wondering who to tell their problems too. The unions were ready for another movement under similar circumstances. Decided to beat their demands and achieve. The handing over of petitions will go ahead in the form of protests, dharnas, and agitations. Will strike once again if necessary. A key leader in the union said the TMU had been consulted on joining the JAC and a decision would be taken after reviewing the situation.

CCS has no arrears. No increase in salaries: JAC
RTC JAC Chairman Rajireddy and Vice-Chairman Hanumanthu Mudiraj have made it clear that they will continue to work under the auspices of the JAC till the issues are resolved. They spoke to the media after the JAC was formed on Monday. He was incensed that the CM had told the assembly that he would increase the salaries of RTC employees, but the PRC had not yet announced it. He was outraged that the new buses could not be bought and that CCS was not paying the arrears. Concerned that the company is deteriorating day by day. He said the government was acting tyrannically on the RTC. The TMU also wants to come out and fight without apologizing to the government. He said they would soon formulate an activity and prepare for the movements.
