Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the country has been able to cope with the Corona first wave, but the oxygen surge has become a major challenge during the second wave. Speaking on All India Radio on Sunday as part of the Mann Ki Baat program, the Prime Minister lauded the continuous efforts of loco pilots, air force pilots, and crew in moving the oxygen needed to sustain the lives of the people in the current situation.

He said the Air Force was playing a key role in moving oxygen containers from abroad. He later said that the railway staff was working hard to take them to the required cities across the country. On this occasion, he spoke with the female loco pilot head. Asked about her experiences and found out. The Prime Minister opined that crises like the Corona pandemic have been going on for hundreds of years and it will be difficult to deal with such crises.

However, the Prime Minister said that the people of the country are effectively facing the corona epidemic. He said people were not turning their backs on facing an unprecedented crisis. The Prime Minister also lauded the lab technicians involved in coronavirus diagnostic tests across the country. The Prime Minister commented that over 20 lakh corona tests are being done daily across the country, in which the role of lab technicians is crucial.
