CEC Increased the polling time by one hour in the wake of the corona epidemic

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced on Friday that it was increasing the polling time by one hour in the wake of the corona epidemic. Central Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora has said that the Assembly elections in West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Assam, and Puducherry will be held. Currently, in Puducherry, the state government led by Congress leader V Narayana Swamy has resigned after failing to prove its majority. With this, the presidential rule is in force there.

Sunil Arora has announced that staff participating in the five state assembly elections must be vaccinated. Alok Vardhan has been appointed as the special chief for the Tamil Nadu state assembly elections. The house-to-house campaign was ordered to be limited to five. He said central paramilitary forces would be deployed to conduct the polls peacefully. He said all the polling stations would be set up on the ground floor, which was not open to discussion.
