She reached the final of the Miss India beauty pageant, contesting in the Jaunpur district panchayat elections in UP.
She hails from Chittori village in the Baksa area. The father then settled in Mumbai for business and from there in Goa. Diksha who grew up as a model shined as a finalist in the 2015 Miss India pageant. It has become interesting for her to step into the ring of exceptionally panchayat elections. She entered the initiation ring from Ward No. 26 in Baksa Development Block. She is contesting against BJP candidate Shalini Singh.
She seems to have made her entry into politics at the behest of her father. Her father Jitendra Singh is ready to contest from ward number 26. His daughter Diksha Singh was put in the ring as the position was reserved for a woman at the last moment. Diksha Panchayat was ready for the fight as per the wish of the father. Panchayat elections will be held in four tranches in UP from the 15th of this month.
