CM Yediyurappa took a key decision, Lockdown for 14 days in Karnataka:
The corona is booming in the country. While millions of cases are being registered every day thousands are dying. There was anxiety throughout this moment. Measures such as lockdown and night curfew are already being taken in several states for corona tightening. In this context, the B. S. Yediyurappa government of Karnataka also took a key decision. The government has said it will impose a Lockdown for 14 days in Karnataka from tomorrow. It also issued orders imposing restrictions on essential services.
The decision was taken by the Karnataka government in view of the rising number of corona cases. The state will be locked down for 14 days from 9 pm on Tuesday, the government said in a statement. Required services will be allowed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, Chief Minister Yediyurappa announced that all shops would be closed after 10 am. Only construction, manufacturing, and agriculture will be allowed and public transport will also be closed, he said.
There were 34,804 new corona cases reported in Karnataka yesterday. There are currently 2,62,162 active cases in the state. Bangalore alone has the highest number of over 20,000 corona cases.
