AP Government will provide laptops to students in classes 9-12: Jagananna amma Odi in AP will provide laptops to students in classes 9-12 as part of the scheme. The government has decided to provide laptops instead of cash if the mothers of eligible students want it from the 2021–22 academic year.
CM Jagan wrote letters to know the opinion of the mothers. The decision will be communicated to all eligible mothers and cash and laptops will be provided with their approval. This letter will be presented to all mothers of students in grades 9–12 to find out their opinion.
The letter written by the Chief Minister should be printed by DCEBs by April 10. The letter must be submitted to the heads of public and private high schools and principals of colleges by April 15. HM’s of public, private schools, and college principals will meet with 9–12 class students, on April 19 to explain the contents of the CM’s letter.
Students then take the letter home and show it to their mothers and guardians and write their wishes on the letter. The letter must be returned to HMs and principals by April 22. Principals must submit the content of the acceptance letter provided by the students on the Amma Odi website by April 26. Those acceptance documents should be kept in school and college records.

Special software (mobile device management) is installed to prevent harmful websites and their effects on children. Due to the large number of laptops being bought, the branded laptop, which is priced at around Rs 25,000 to Rs 27,000 in the market, will be offered for just Rs 18,500.
