A key decision on Exams, Chance to write from home:
A key decision on Exams. Almost all tests were canceled due to the corona epidemic. Some tests were postponed. This academic year has been confusing throughout. The conduct of examinations in this context is also chaotic. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH) in Hyderabad has recently taken a crucial decision. While all the universities and various boards are postponing the exams, JNTU has postponed the exams for two months.
However, in the past, JNTU had set a timetable for BTech final year exams to be held in August and September. Authorities have decided to conduct the tests in the second week of June. The timetable has also been finalized to this extent.
Under no circumstances should the authorities disclose the results of the respective examinations by July 15 to ensure that the students’ higher studies are not disrupted. However, if the examinations were conducted as per the previously revealed schedule, students would have difficulty in going abroad for higher education along with courses like M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, etc.
It seems that the authorities have taken this decision as many students have complained to the authorities through email and other media. However, in the wake of this corona, this time the university hopes to make arrangements for students to write from home. The university plans to conduct the respective examinations from June 14 to 19. The university has given permission to the respective colleges to increase the online classes, which are currently 3 hours, to 6 hours.
