Indian Government comments Kejriwal. In the wake of delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s comments on the Singapore variant of the Coronavirus, the Indian Government has taken remedial action. The Indian government has responded to Singapore’s strong objection to Kejriwal’s remarks.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday made it clear that Kejriwal could not speak on behalf of the Indian Government. He tweeted that India-Singapore had gone ahead with the bilateral partnership in tackling the covid-19 Mayhem. He praised Singapore for playing a key role as a logistics hub along with oxygen supplies.
He said the preparation of military aircraft to assist India was a clear signal of a partnership between the two countries. He expressed concern that irresponsible comments could hurt long-term partnerships.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said India had made it clear to Singapore that the delhi CM did not have the authority to speak out under the guise of covid strains.
The Singapore government has strongly objected to Kejriwal’s comments on the Singapore variant before the Indian ambassador. Singapore made it clear that there was no strain.
