ICC Women’s cricket at the Commonwealth Games:
ICC Women’s cricket will make its debut at next year’s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Organizers announced on Tuesday that the Commonwealth Games women’s T20 tournament will be held from July 29 to August 7 at the Edgbaston Stadium.
Eight teams will face off in the group stage. Group stage matches will be held until August 4. There will be a semis fight on the sixth of August. The bronze medal match will be played on August 7. The final match will be played on the same day.
The top six teams in the ICC Women’s T20 rankings, including host England, will qualify directly for the Games on April 1. The Indian women’s team is currently ranked third in the ICC rankings. Qualifying competitions were held for the remaining one berth.
Men’s cricket was discontinued after participating in the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. We are going to watch cricket matches again after 24 years.
