GHMC got recognized at National Level once again. Hyderabad won awards in three categories:
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has once again received national recognition. Hyderabad has won awards in three categories namely Green & Clean City, Smart Waste Disposal Project, and Start-up Award.
GHMC got recognized at National Level and Hyderabad got Awards in 3 categories. The Rain Garden developed by HMDA under the Begumpet Flyover at the intersection of Kukatpally and Yousufguda Nalas won the award in the first category, while the network of fully mechanized secondary collection and transport points has won the award in Second Category. GHMC has won a national award for adopting technologies in waste collection, evacuation, and management. The Smart Waste Disposal Project Award for Technology, Eco-Friendly Secondary Transport, and Establishment of Collection Points (SCTP), for making compact transport vehicles available. GHMC officials say this is the first time in the country that an automated ST Peel and smart compactors have been set up. Company sources are happy about the awards.
The award was given to ‘WE HUB’ for its efforts to promote women entrepreneurs in the third category. Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited Managing Director B.M. Santosh, Additional Commissioner, GHMC, B. Santosh received the award on Friday.
The Expo was organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization, Department of Commerce and Exhibitions Group. GHMC Additional Commissioner Badavath Santosh received the award on Friday at the conclusion of the 28th Smart Cities Expo in delhi.
