AP TDP MLA Ghanta Srinivasa Rao met Telangana Minister KTR. The two met at the Telangana Assembly premises in Hyderabad on Saturday. It is a known fact that recently Visakhapatnam has expressed support for the steel plant movement.
It was in this context that Minister KTR met Ghanta Srinivasa Rao. He was invited to come to Visakhapatnam to directly participate in the Visakha movement.
Responding to Ghanta’s request, Minister KTR said that a decision on the Visakhapatnam visit would be taken soon. However, after the assembly sessions, it seems that Minister KTR will visit Visakhapatnam with the permission of CM KCR.
The Visakhapatnam Steel Conservation Committee had also met Minister KTR a few days ago. Steel Preservation Committee Chairman Rajasekhar and Co-Convener Gandham Venkatrao went to Hyderabad and met Minister KTR. Committee leaders invited Minister KTR to attend the Steel Conservation Initiation Camp in Visakhapatnam.
Information that KTR has given clear assurances to the trade unions who met him. He said everyone has a responsibility to protect the steel plant, which has been achieved with so many sacrifices. Committee leaders have already said that KTR has once again made it clear that they will give their full support to the steel conservation struggle.
It is known that Minister KTR spoke on the privatization of the Visakhapatnam steel plant during the MLC election campaign. He said he was completely opposed to the privatization of the steel plant and supported the Visakhapatnam steel movement. If we wonder why the Center will act in the same way in Telangana tomorrow, said Minister KTR on that occasion.
B.H.E.L. and Singareni could be privatized in the coming days. Then the AP asked the people to support them. If necessary, the CM took KCR’s permission and said that he would go to Visakhapatnam himself and participate in the movement. In this context, TDP MLA Ghanta Srinivasa Rao invited Minister KTR to come to Visakhapatnam together.
