Today, CM KCR is going to hold an all-party meeting at 11:30. During the meeting, the CM will discuss the design of the Dalit Empowerment Scheme. Dalit MPs, MLAs, MLCs of all parties, floor leaders of all parties, CS and CMVO officials are going to participate in this meeting.
However, CM KCR has already extended an invitation to Left leaders Chada Venkatreddy and Tammineni to come to the meeting. The all-party meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister KCR on the upcoming Dalit Empowerment Scheme at Pragati Bhavan.
The BJP has distanced itself from the meeting, which is expected to be attended by Dalit representatives of all parties in Telangana. Meanwhile, during the meeting, CM KCR will discuss plans for the development of Dalits in Telangana with leaders of all parties. CM KCR will hold a referendum on how to spend Rs 1,000 crore for the development of Dalits this year.
The Telangana government is moving ahead with the development of 8 lakh Dalit BPL families under the Dalit Empowerment Scheme. Each year, the government intends to select a few beneficiaries by lottery and make it transparent so that money can be deposited directly into their bank accounts in the same way as peasant and old-age pensions.
