The coronavirus epidemic is once again booming in the country. The number of positive cases has been steadily rising since the last few weeks. Last week saw an increase of 33 percent compared to the previous week. Mortality also rose by 28 percent to a six-week high. Last week (March 8-15) 876 people effected by Covid19. This is the highest increase in corona cases since July. A total of 1.56 lakh cases were confirmed across the country last week.
This is the first time that such a large number of Covid19 positive cases have come out after 12 weeks between December 14-20.
The doubling of covid cases from the last four weeks is a sign of the second phase of the epidemic boom in the country. In the last 24 hours from Sunday morning to Monday morning, 26,386 people were newly diagnosed with the virus. Another 119 suffered from the corona. This is the first time since December 19 that such a large number of cases have been confirmed.
More than 38,714 new cases were reported in the second week of March. This is the first time since the second week of September that the number of positive cases has increased. The lowest number of cases was reported between February 8-14 after the second week of June last year. During that week, 77,000 people were diagnosed with the virus. Since then, the number of positive cases has been steadily rising. The rise in corona deaths is also a cause for concern.
Last week, 876 people lost their lives. This is the first time since the fourth week of January (975) that such a large number of deaths have taken place.
So far 11,385,519 people have been infected with the virus in India. India has the third-highest number of corona cases in the world after the United States and Brazil. The pandemic cosmopolitanism is once again on display in Maharashtra. A record 16,620 cases were reported on Sunday. This is the first time since September 30 that such a large number of cases have been registered there.
In Karnataka, 934 people were newly infected with the virus. In Bangalore, there were 628 cases. In Gujarat too, 810 cases were reported. Cases are gradually increasing in Tamil Nadu as well on Sunday there were 759 cases confirmed. Madhya Pradesh 743, Andhra Pradesh 298, Bengal 283, and Rajasthan 250 covid were infected.
