BJP and Trinamool activist factions attacked each other: Clashes between BJP and Trinamool activists have once again erupted in West Bengal. Activists from both parties clashed on the highway in Baranagar in North 24 Parganas district. BJP candidate Parno Mittra clashed during a bike rally. Activists from both factions attacked each other with sandals, stones, and sticks. Many were seriously injured. BJP candidate Parno Mittra stopped her campaign in the middle due to the clash.
Assembly elections are being held in West Bengal in 8 phases. While 4 phases have been completed so far, polling is yet to take place in another four phases. However, as part of the election campaign, BJP candidate and popular Bengali film actress Parno Mittra staged a bike rally in Baranagar in the North 24 Parganas district on Wednesday. BJP workers also chanted slogans as Trinamool activists objected to the bike rally. With this, the situation was completely out of control.
Parno Mittra said that TMC activists tried to attack him and their activists stood by when they noticed this. She alleged that politics in Bengal was completely corrupt. The TMC is trying its best to come to power and she asserted that her confession had been obtained through torture. Meanwhile, BJP leaders have lodged a complaint with the EC over the incident. They demanded that action be taken against those who incited violence during the elections.
If this is the case, then there is a lot of violence in Bengal during the elections. Holding elections in the wake of the Owaipu Corona boom has become a sword fight for the Electoral Commission. EC held a meeting with all political parties on Thursday. The EC is likely to make key suggestions on how to prevent election violence and conduct campaigns in accordance with covid rules. There are likely to be more sanctions, especially in the campaign.
Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, on the other hand, made sensational remarks during the election campaign. She set fire to the BJP in the House in Jaleswar constituency. Mamata Banerjee has blamed BJP leaders’ campaign for the sudden rise in corona cases in Bengal. She said that a large number of BJP workers were being brought to Bengal from other states and that covid was booming in the state with them. She said BJP leaders would have worsened the situation if he had tied the corona. On the other hand, Congress MP Rahul said that giving entry to BJP in Bengal would be a disaster. He campaigned for the first time in Bengal.
