Congress senior leader and former minister Janareddy is once again disappointed. Even though people like MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy commented that Janareddy would be the next Chief Minister if he won the Nagarjunasagar by-election, but did not give a result. Another strange thing here is that senior leader Janareddy was humiliated at the hands of father and son respectively.
In the elections held in 2018, he was defeated by the late Nomula Narsimhaiah. The seat was vacated by TRS supremo Nomula’s son, Bhagat after Nomula died of an illness. Now Janareddy was defeated by Nomula Narsimhaiah’s son Nomula Bhagat.
Janareddy, who polled 75,884 votes in the last elections, lost by 7771 votes. This time, however, Nomula Bhagat won over Janareddy by a majority of 18,478 votes. TRS candidate Nomula Bhagat has emerged victorious in every round except by one since the by-election counting began.
However, for this victory, the TRS chief, Chief Minister KCR himself entered the field and the ministers and the leaders of the ruling party worked hard.
But unlike in the past, Congress leaders have also done their part for Janareddy’s victory. However, the result was gone. After the victory in Sagar, Nomula Bhagat told the media, ‘I salute the people of Nagarjuna Sagar who have blessed me. I dedicate this success to KCR. I will definitely fulfill my father’s wishes. ‘He said he was indebted to the TRS followers who worked hard for his win.
