Full demand for beer sales in Hyderabad has increased due to the summer heat. Figures show that record sales are taking place this time compared to last year. Beer sales in Telangana have increased significantly due to the increase in the intensity of the sun. People are drinking who want a cold beer solution to the summer heat. Beer sales are usually highest during the summer. This time, however, beer sales in early April surpassed previous records. The city of Hyderabad sold 26.35 lakh cases of beer in March last year, compared to 29.59 lakh beer cases sold in March this year.
Due to this, the sales of beers in May are likely to increase further. Excise officials said liquor sales in Hyderabad stood at Rs 2,727.15 crore in January, Rs 2,331.65 crore in February, and Rs 2,473.89 crore in March, for a total of Rs 7,532.69 crore. Liquor sales across Telangana have estimated at Rs 27,288.72 crore in 2020-21. Of this, 3.3 crore IML cases and 2.7 crore beer cases were sold.
According to this calculation, on average, more than 90 thousand IMLs and 74 thousand beer cases are consumed per day. The meteorological department has forecast that the intensity of the sun will be higher in Telangana this year as compared to the past. Accordingly, the sun burns for a few days. With this, the drinkers are resorting to beers to get out of the summer heat.
