At this juncture, the central government took another crucial decision. The Center has extended the ban on international flights until May 31. Aviation officials said the decision was taken in the wake of the Corona second wave in the country.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Friday announced that it was extending the previous orders on the ban on international flights until midnight on May 31. The aviation department said the Centre’s previous ban on international flights to or from the country would continue until the 31st. However, these regulations do not apply to international cargo flights. Also in certain circumstances, the DGCA orders state that international flights will be permitted on certain routes.
However, a record number of cases were registered on Thursday. In the last 24 hours, 3,86,452 cases were reported and 3,498 victims died due to the epidemic. According to the latest cases, the total number of corona cases in the country has increased to 1,87,62,976 (1.87 crores), and the number of deaths to 2,08,330.
