This technology is coming soon.
ATM Corporation, the maker of ATMs, has for the first time launched the Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) system. It works on the Unified Payments Interface i.e. UPI platform. City Union Bank, which has partnered with NCR, is introducing the technology. City Union Bank has already upgraded 1,500 ATMs. You can scan the QR code at these ATMs and withdraw money and no need to use the ATM app. All you need is a UPI on your smartphone and your bank link to the app. Money can be withdrawn.
How to make payments by scanning QR code through Google Pay, Phone Pay and other apps can no longer withdraw money at ATMs. This means that the QR code displayed on the ATM screen must be scanned with the QR code scanner in the app itself. You can then enter any amount you want and draws the money. However, at present, cash withdrawals with QR codes are available only at City Union Bank’s 1500 ATMs. Soon other banks will also be trying to use this technology to provide similar services to their customers.
