Action Team Entered Telangana:
The Maoist party action team entered Telangana border targeting. The five-member team had recently crossed the Godavari River, into Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts and taken shelter, police said. The police are on high alert as the Maoists, who have been intermittent in the recent past, have now joined the action team. Police believe that the members of the team are from the Dandakaranya area of Chhattisgad. Surveillance teams were engaged in finding out why they came to the state and what their goal was. It is for this reason that the police seem to be sifting through the border areas. Police conducting deep searches in the villages and forest areas. This created a tense situation in the border villages.
The Maoists have sketched out attacks in the past targeting some in the border areas but have been practically unsuccessful.
